A commotion breaks out inside the Inn. Ran tries to stop a fight between Dudley and Duke, but they tell her to stay out of it.
Ran then pleads with you to step in and help.

You step between them to stop the argument. They are both upset with you now, but it does not matter much.
After taking a moment to cool down, neither of them can remember why they started fighting in the first place.
