Marriage is one of the important features in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town (SoS: FoMT). Before you can get married, you must build a relationship with one of the available marriage candidates.
Each candidate has their own series of heart events. As your relationship improves, these heart events will gradually unlock, starting from the Introduction Event up to the Red Heart Event.
Progressing through these stages allows you to propose to your chosen partner once all requirements have been met, eventually leading to marriage and having children.
Compared to the original version, the remake features a more flexible marriage system. You can marry any candidate regardless of the main character’s gender, making all male and female candidates available.
Each candidate has a unique personality, daily schedule, and gift preferences.
Getting to know the character you want to marry will make it easier to improve your relationship and unlock all available heart events.
In addition to the normal candidates, Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town also features special marriage candidates who can be married just like the normal candidates.
This category of candidates has more difficult requirements to complete and generally requires significantly more complicated game progress.
Each special candidate has unique requirements that must be fulfilled before you can proceed with the proposal.
As a result, they are generally considered more challenging to marry than the normal candidates.
