When playing Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, you may accidentally come across a Goddess Jewel, Kappa Jewel, or Truth Jewel.
These jewels cannot be sold or given as gifts to the villagers.
Jewels can be carried in your Rucksack or stored in the Cabinet. They are hidden in various locations throughout Mineral Town, as well as inside rocks on specific floors of the Spring Mine and Lake Mine.
There are nine Goddess Jewels, nine Kappa Jewels, and nine Truth Jewels. After collecting all nine jewels of a particular type, they are exchanged for a Treasure that helps manage your stamina and fatigue.
For Goddess Jewels and Kappa Jewels, the exchange occurs automatically after obtaining the ninth jewel. Truth Jewels, on the other hand, are exchanged by Mayor Thomas for the Truth Treasure.
You do not need to keep all of the jewels in your Rucksack. However, you must have one empty slot available to receive the final Treasure. If you are having trouble finding the last jewel, make sure there is an empty slot in your Rucksack.
The game does not keep track of which Jewels you have already found. Therefore, it is recommended that you record the location of each jewel after obtaining it, especially the Goddess Jewels and Kappa Jewels, which are hidden on specific mine floors.
To use a Treasure’s power, equip it as your active tool in the Tool slot. Once equipped, its effect becomes active immediately.
The Goddess Treasure and Kappa Treasure are relatively easy to obtain. In contrast, the Truth Treasure can only be acquired after meeting requirements that require you to play for at least 50 in-game years.
After finding the last Goddess Jewel or Kappa Jewel and receiving the corresponding Treasure, you must sleep for one night before the other type of jewel begins appearing again.
For example, after obtaining the Goddess Treasure, you must sleep for one night before Kappa Jewels can once again be found inside the rocks in the Lake Mine.
Note: When searching for the final jewel needed to obtain a Treasure, make sure you have one empty Tool slot available.
The Treasure appears immediately after the last Jewel is found. If there is no empty space, the final Jewel will not appear.
The nine Goddess Jewels are hidden inside rocks on specific floors of the Spring Mine.
- Floors 60, 102, 123, 152, 155, 171, 190, 202, and 222
The chance for a Goddess Jewel to appear is determined when you enter the floor.
Even if you are on the correct floor, the jewel is not guaranteed to appear. As a result, it is possible to clear every rock on the floor without finding it.
Tips for Finding Goddess Jewels
When searching for the jewels, it is recommended to use the two-save-slot method.
Save your game before descending the ladder to a floor where a jewel can appear, then use a second save slot as a backup in case you need to reload after falling into a pitfall while breaking rocks.
The second save slot is also useful after you have cleared every rock on the floor. This way, you do not have to repeat the search from the beginning if you accidentally fall into a pitfall.
In general, Goddess Jewels are fairly easy to find inside rocks. Only in some cases will you need to reset the floor because the jewel does not appear.
If the Item section of your Rucksack is full when a Goddess Jewel appears from a rock, the jewel will fall onto the ground.
To pick it up, discard any unnecessary items, such as Black Grass or Scrap Metal, to free up an empty inventory slot.
Goddess Treasure
After collecting all nine Goddess Jewels, the Harvest Goddess will appear to congratulate you. She will take all of the Goddess Jewels and exchange them for the Goddess Treasure.
The Goddess Treasure is a white stone that restores 1 stamina point every 1 in-game minute while it is equipped as your active Tool and you are outdoors.
This effect does not work indoors because in-game time only passes while your character is outside.
The nine Kappa Jewels can be found inside rocks on specific floors of the Lake Mine.
The mine is located on an island in the middle of Mother Lake. You can only reach it during Winter, when the surface of the lake freezes over, allowing you to walk across it.
If you have obtained the Travel Stone from Floor 255 of the Spring Mine after entering Year 3, you can access the Lake Mine at any time by teleporting directly to the island.
Kappa Jewels can be found on the following floors:
- Entrance Floor, 40, 60, 80, 120, 140, 160, 180, and 255
Tips for Finding Kappa Jewels
Compared to Goddess Jewels, Kappa Jewels are generally easier to find inside rocks.
The jewel on Floor 255 of the Lake Mine even has a higher chance of appearing than the jewels on the other floors.
You can also use the same save/load method used when searching for Goddess Jewels in the Spring Mine.
Kappa Treasure
After collecting all nine Kappa Jewels, Kappa will appear to congratulate you. He will take all of the Kappa Jewels and exchange them for the Kappa Treasure.
The Kappa Treasure is a green stone that restores 1 fatigue point every 1 in-game minute while it is equipped as your active Tool and you are outdoors.
The nine Truth Jewels are hidden throughout Mineral Town. Eight of them can be obtained by interacting with specific objects or locations. Their locations are as follows:
Horse Stable
Enter the Horse Stable, stand in front of the water trough, then press Click (PC) to obtain the Truth Jewel.
Street Lamp
Stand in front of one of the street lamps along the north–south path between the Church and Rose Plaza, then press Click to obtain the Truth Jewel.
Church
Enter the Church courtyard until you find the Harvest Goddess statue. Stand directly in front of it, then press Click to obtain the Truth Jewel.
Library
Go to the second floor of the Library, then stand in front of the rightmost bookshelf in the center of the room and press Click.
Medal Exchange
Win bets during the Spring Derby or Autumn Derby to earn medals. After collecting 1,000 medals, exchange them for a Truth Jewel.
Huang’s Shop
If you have enough money, go to Mineral Beach and enter Zack’s House while Zack is inside. There, Huang’s Shop sells a Truth Jewel for 50,000 G.
Town Villa TV
This Truth Jewel is awarded for winning the Harvest Goddess New Year’s Math Quiz, which is broadcast on the Town Villa TV from Spring 1 through Spring 5. The Town Villa can be purchased from Gotts for 10,000,000 G, 999 Lumber, and 999 Material Stone.
Mountain Cottage
The Mountain Cottage is received as a gift from your spouse on your 50th wedding anniversary. Inside the house is a calendar. Stand in front of it, then press Click to obtain the Truth Jewel.
After collecting all eight Truth Jewels, visit Mayor Thomas’s House from Monday to Friday, then stand in front of the refrigerator and press Click (PC). The final Truth Jewel will appear, after which Thomas will exchange all of the Truth Jewels for the Truth Treasure.
When equipped as your active Tool, the Truth Treasure displays your current stamina and fatigue values directly on the screen. Your fatigue value appears below the face icon.
