In Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, various activities and achievements contribute to your Farm Degree, a system that reflects your progress and accomplishments throughout the game.
Although some Story of Seasons titles use the Farm Degree system to unlock rewards or certain features, in Friends of Mineral Town it serves only as a personal achievement and does not provide any rewards or additional content.
As you play, you will automatically earn Farm Degree points through the activities you perform.
Points are calculated in the background and do not need to be claimed manually. You can view your Farm Degree progress by interacting with the bookshelf inside your house and selecting the “Farm Degree” menu.
The system consists of ten categories, each with a maximum value of 1,000 points, allowing you to earn up to 10,000 points in total.
After reaching a certain number of points, you will receive a Rank that indicates your level of farming progress.
At the beginning of the game, you start with the lowest rank, such as Egg Farmer, and your rank will continue to increase as you earn more Farm Degree points.
Your current Farm Degree Rank is displayed on the Farm Profile screen.

How to Earn Points

Farm Degree points can be earned through various activities performed throughout the game.
These activities include raising livestock, using and upgrading tools, cooking, fishing, shipping items, and various other activities.
The following section explains each way to earn Farm Degree points from the different activities.
Points can be earned by shipping various types of items through the Shipping Bin.
1. Shipping Points
You earn 1 point for every 100 units of the same item shipped, up to a maximum of 100 points for each item type.
For example, shipping 400 Potatoes earns 4 points. After shipping a total of 10,000 Potatoes, additional shipments of that item no longer award points.
2. First Shipment Bonus
The first shipment of each item type awards 5 points. This bonus applies to every item type shipped for the first time, such as Cucumbers, Honey, Milk, and others.
3. Shipping Memo
Shipping at least one of every item listed in the Shipping Memo awards an additional 10 Farm Degree points.
Points can also be earned through various fishing-related activities.
- Catching each type of fish or other item, including trash, for the first time awards 5 points.
- Each Whopper Fish caught awards 10 points, up to a maximum of 70 points.
- Completing the Fish Memo by catching every type of fish awards 15 points.
- Catching 100 of the same item type, including fish, trash, treasure, or other items, awards 1 point, up to a maximum of 10,000 items of that type.
- The largest fish you have ever caught also affects your point total. Every new record that increases by 10 cm awards 1 point.
Farm Degree points can be earned through various activities related to livestock and pets.
- Winning the Moo Moo Festival, Fluffy Festival, Cluck-Cluck Clash, Beach Day, or Derby awards 10 points for each festival.
- Every one-heart increase for a livestock animal awards 2.5 points, up to a maximum of 25 points for each animal.
- For pets, filling the Training Bar to its maximum level awards 25 points for each pet.
You can also earn points through your relationships with villagers, Nature Sprites, and marriage candidates.
1. Nature Sprites
Increasing a Sprite’s Helper Skill to 100% awards 25 points in the Watering, Animal Care, or Harvesting category.
Each Sprite can contribute a maximum of 75 points, allowing all Sprites to contribute up to 525 points in total.
2. Villagers
The first time you earn one music note (10 Friendship Points/FP) with a villager or marriage candidate, you receive 1 point. A maximum of 20 points can be earned for each character.
3. Marriage Candidates
Every 100 Love Points (LP) earned with a marriage candidate awards 1 point, up to a maximum of 655 points for each candidate.
Regular villagers do not have Love Points (LP).

Each letter received for the first time awards 11 points.
Points are awarded only once for each type of letter. For example, if you receive a New Year’s letter from Ellen, you will earn 11 points. If you receive the same letter from Ellen again the following year, you will not receive any additional points.
However, if you also receive a letter from Thomas for the first time during the same year, you will earn 11 points for that letter.
All received letters are stored on the bookshelf inside your house.
Farm Degree points can also be earned by triggering various events throughout the game.
Introduction Events
Triggering each marriage candidate’s introduction event awards 5 points, up to a maximum of 60 points.
