On the morning of Autumn 17, Mayor Thomas will visit your house to invite you to the Autumn Derby Festival, which takes place the following day.
If you own an adult horse, Thomas will also offer you the opportunity to enter it in the race. If you agree, your horse will be taken temporarily and returned after the festival ends.
The festival is held at Rose Plaza from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Speaking with the villagers in attendance grants +5 FP with each character.
Throughout the festival, there are three races that you can either participate in or watch. Speak with Mayor Thomas to start a race, purchase betting tickets, or exchange medals for prizes.
Betting System
Before each race begins, you can purchase betting tickets for 100 G each. Every horse has an odds multiplier that determines how many medals you will receive if your bet wins.
The lower a horse’s odds, the greater its chance of winning the race.
Example:
- Horse #3 has 10x odds.
- Horse #4 has 26x odds.
Under normal circumstances, Horse #3 has a higher chance of winning than Horse #4, although race outcomes are never completely guaranteed.
If the horse you choose wins, the number of medals you receive is calculated using the following formula:
Number of Tickets × Horse Odds
Example:
- Purchase 10 tickets on a horse with 10x odds.
- If that horse wins, you will receive 100 medals.
You may buy as many tickets as you wish and can place bets on multiple horses at the same time.
Racing Your Own Horse
If you register your own horse, it will participate in the third race. You may also place bets on your own horse.
During the race, a stamina indicator appears above your horse’s head. Repeatedly press the Action Button (PC: Click) to increase its running speed.
As stamina decreases, the indicator changes color:
- Green: High stamina
- Yellow: Stamina is running low
- Red: The horse is exhausted
Stop urging your horse forward when its stamina is nearly depleted and allow it to recover briefly before pressing the button again. Proper stamina management is the key to victory.
Winning the race with your own horse grants:
- +20 FP with all villagers attending the festival
- A Power Berry for your first Derby victory
Medal Exchange Rewards
After the third race concludes, medals can be exchanged for a variety of prizes. Any unused medals are carried over and can be used at future Derby Festivals.

| Truth Jewel | 1,000 |
| Power Berry | 900 |

Profitable Reward Exchange
If your goal is to make money, the Brooch is one of the best prizes to exchange for. It costs only 18 medals and can be shipped for approximately 1,800 G.
Since medals can be earned in large quantities through successful betting, the Derby is one of the most profitable festivals in the game.
