Preserved Flower (SoSFoMT)

The Sunsweet Flower Event is the starting point for unlocking the Preserved Flower, an item used to trigger the Green Heart Event in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town (SoS: FoMT).

This event becomes available when one of the marriage candidates reaches the Green Heart level or from Autumn 1 of Year 1 onward.

To trigger the scene, leave your house between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on a sunny day.

You will head to the General Store and meet Jeff and Basil. The botanist tells you a story about a rare flower that is said to convey a person’s feelings.

The more Jeff hears about the flower, the more interested he becomes. Basil only knows about the flower’s existence through old books and is unsure whether the Sunsweet Flower actually exists.

However, Jeff hopes the flower can help him express his feelings to Sasha.

Although he feels embarrassed discussing it, Jeff believes you might be able to find the Sunsweet Flower. According to him, it would be romantic to give the flower when confessing your love to someone special.

Their conversation is overheard by the Nature Sprites, who happen to be shopping at the General Store. They claim to have heard stories about the Sunsweet Flower, although they have never seen it in person.

The Nature Sprites then invite you to the Secret Forest to search for the flower. With a little magic, the flower finally blooms. Cherry asks you to bring the Sunsweet Flower to Jeff and Basil.

After returning to the General Store, Jeff and Basil are surprised that you actually managed to find the Sunsweet Flower. Jeff plans to use it as a subject for a painting for Sasha, while Basil will study the flower species.

Basil successfully collects its seeds and gives you a bag of Autumn flower seeds. From that point onward, Jeff will also sell Sunsweet Flower seeds at the General Store during Autumn.

Preserved Flower Now Available at the General Store!

Three days after giving the Sunsweet Flower to Jeff, leave your house on a sunny day between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. You will meet Jeff.

Jeff shows you a Preserved Flower made by his friend using the Sunsweet Flower you previously found. As a token of appreciation, Jeff gives the item to you.

After this event, the Preserved Flower becomes available for purchase at the General Store for 1,000 G. If your Rucksack is full, Jeff will place the Preserved Flower in your Tool Box at home.

Giving a Preserved Flower

The Preserved Flower is stored in the Tools section of your Rucksack. If you have triggered the Introduction, Black Heart, Purple Heart, and Blue Heart Events with a candidate, and that candidate has reached the Green Heart level, you can give them the item.

Once all requirements have been met, the event will move to your house and show a short cutscene in which the candidate accepts your feelings. Afterward, you can proceed to the next two Heart Events with that candidate.

If you want to give a Preserved Flower to another candidate, Jeff sells an unlimited supply at his store.

Marriage candidates will not object if you give the item to other candidates. There is no penalty for giving Preserved Flowers to all Normal candidates.

In fact, there is an achievement for giving a Preserved Flower to all 12 Normal candidates.
