In Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life (SoS AWL), you can have a child with your spouse after getting married.
Each child has different innate characteristics depending on whom you marry.
In addition, your child’s interests can change depending on the main character’s daily actions. Ultimately, your child’s career path is determined by how these “skills” develop by the end of the Twilight Chapter.
The child’s gender is also determined at the end of Chapter 1 during the cinematic wedding ceremony at the forest pond. Three options will appear:
- It’d be nice to have a boy – Boy
- I’d be happy with a girl! – Girl
- I’d be happy with a boy or girl! – Random gender, either boy or girl
You will have a child in Chapter 2 with your spouse. During Chapter 2, your child is still a toddler and will spend their days wandering around the farm.
You can carry your child, show them items, and talk to them.
Depending on your spouse and how you treat your child, they will develop certain interests and skills.
During Chapter 3, your child grows into a young child and gets their own room. The decoration of their room depends on the child’s interests and skills.
In this chapter, you can still influence your child’s interests, but it is recommended to start doing so in Chapter 2.
During Chapter 4, your child has grown into a teenager, and you and your spouse now have your own room.
The decoration of your child’s room depends on their interests and skills. Your child will become more rebellious and harder to influence. Their rebelliousness depends on your spouse.
During the first year, your child will not accept gifts. Your child may react to certain items, which usually affects their Interests and Skills.
