Table of Contents
In SoS: AWL, you can do other activities besides managing your farm, such as fishing, interacting with villagers, and mining.
To mine, simply go to the Dig Site north of your farm, across the river.
There, you can find various interesting artifacts. Although mining is not as important as farming, this activity is very useful for earning additional income.
You can start searching for artifacts at the Dig Site from 10 AM until 5 PM. The Dig Site is closed on the 3rd and 8th of each season.
You can keep the items you obtain there, except for the Stone Tablet.
Only one tablet can be found each year, and it can be viewed in the Encyclopedia next to your bed.
Every item obtained from the Dig Site can be sold to Van for a good price or given to characters such as Daryl to increase your friendship with him.
How the Dig Site Works

To start working, you must arrive at the Dig Site between 10 AM and 5 PM, and you can work for up to 7 hours.
Flora leaves the Dig Site at 3:30 PM, followed by Carter at 5:00 PM.
When you enter the Dig Site, square excavation plots will either have been dug up again or partially excavated, with or without an item partially buried inside.
If you see an item buried in an dig plot, you simply need to keep digging until you obtain the item.
Partially excavated plots without an item, or plots that have been dug up again and have not yet yielded an item for you, can continue to be excavated until an item appears. Once it does, the item can be dug up and collected.
It has been confirmed that each excavation plot has three items that can be obtained per day.
Luck, as reported by the television in your house, can play an important role in your chances of finding and digging up items at the Dig Site.
You can dig up items more quickly depending on how good your luck is that day.

The Stone Tablet cannot be collected or sold, because when you leave the Dig Site, Carter will take it to study the history of the valley.
