When you first play Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, you will see various buildings that were built by your father. These buildings can be upgraded to improve farm productivity.
Takakura will explain on the first day that you can use the Ledger next to the Barn to request upgrades for farm buildings and fields at a set cost.
Although farm upgrades in SoS AWL are not mandatory purchases, each one is an important investment to simplify your daily tasks, expand your business, or unlock new functions.
How to Upgrade Farm Buildings
When you first move to Forgotten Valley, Takakura will take you around the Farm and show you the various important areas.
The Ledger, a large book, can be found next to the Shipping Bin, between the house and the animal pens where animals such as Cows, Sheep, and Horses are kept.
Each upgrade takes approximately one to two days to complete.
Once construction is complete, Takakura will call you to see the results of his work, so you will not miss any completed upgrades.
These upgrades can expand buildings to accommodate more livestock, introduce new functions to the Farm such as the Seed Maker for producing seeds from harvested crops, and much more.

Upgrading everything will, of course, require a considerable amount of time and money.
