In Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, there are various tools that can be used for different activities, such as collecting animal products and managing the Farm.

In addition to the six basic tools that can be upgraded, there are also tools that can be purchased from Van, such as the Brush for brushing livestock and the Fishing Rod for fishing.

In this guide, we will cover all the information you need about basic tools, upgrades, prices, and Requests from villagers to obtain Blessed Tools.

    Basic Tools

Most tools in SoS AWL are given to you for free when you arrive at the Farm, while some others must be obtained in other ways.

Takakura will give you the Hoe, Sickle, and Watering Can. You will also receive the Camera and Milker at the beginning of the game.

Other tools, such as the Fishing Rod and Brush, can be purchased from Van’s shop, which is open on the 3rd and 8th of each season.

    How to Upgrade Tools

After completing the first year, your farming activities will increase. Therefore, you will need better tools to manage your Farm and livestock.

Upgraded tools can improve efficiency while also making farming tasks faster. However, you must meet certain requirements to upgrade your tools.

For example, to upgrade the Hoe from Regular to Copper, you must use the tool 500 times.

This usage requirement also applies to the Sickle and Watering Can. Once the required number of uses has been reached, the upgrade option will become available.

Using upgraded tools also requires less stamina than the previous level.

This allows you to use the tools more frequently throughout the day without becoming tired as quickly.

Each upgraded tool has its own abilities. For example, upgrading the Fishing Rod unlocks new fish species to catch, while upgrading the Watering Can allows it to hold more water.

    There are five tool levels:

    • Regular
    • Copper
    • Silver
    • Golden
    • Blessed

If you have reached a certain point in the game but have not yet seen the option to purchase an upgrade or a Request to obtain the Blessed level, it means there is still a requirement that has not been fulfilled.

    Tool Upgrade Requirements

At the Copper, Silver, and Gold levels, the upgrade requirements are fairly simple. You only need to use the tool a certain number of times according to the upgrade level you want to achieve.

Meanwhile, to obtain Blessed Tools, you need to complete a Request from a specific character.

To find these Requests, leave the Farm. You will find the Bulletin Board next to the Inn.

Check the board to see the available Requests, then complete them within the specified time limit.
