Table of Contents
Inside the house, there is a Vinyl Player. This device allows you to change the background music that plays while you are on the farm.
To do so, simply approach the Vinyl Player and press the action button. You will see a list of background music tracks.
The background music will play while you are in the farm area. For example, you may hear music while walking along the main road toward Forest Spring.
At the beginning of the game, you only have two records: “Breezy” and “Quiet Winter.”
You can add more records by increasing your friendship with the villagers, and you can also purchase one record from Van.
The Vinyl Player will be moved from the main room to your bedroom in Chapter 4.
You can disable the Vinyl Player by selecting the active record and then pressing the action button.
Records can also be removed from the player. Removed records will remain listed in the Vinyl Player but will be disabled as music options.
Collecting All Records
There are 14 records to collect in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.
When you obtain a new record, bring it home and approach the Vinyl Player to add the record.
1. Breezy

The Breezy record is obtained for free when you first start the game.
2. Quiet Winter

Like Breezy, the Quiet Winter record is also obtained for free when you first start the game.
3. Spring is in The Air

This record is sold by Van for 100,000 G at his shop. Van will sell it when your friendship with him reaches 90 FP.
To increase FP, simply give him gifts he likes. He particularly likes eggs, items from the excavation site, and flowers that grow in Winter.
4. Sleeping Spirits

This record is given by Sebastian. To obtain it, you simply need to befriend him until you have at least 90 FP, then talk to him while he is in his room at the villa.
To befriend Sebastian, simply give him gifts he likes.
He particularly likes flowers, ores from mining, Silver Coins, Curry, Mushroom Curry, and Spicy Curry.
5. Another Valley, Together

You can obtain this record from the beginning of the game. Go to the forest and eat the mysterious mushroom on the ground near the Nature Sprite’s tree.
You will shrink and enter the tree. At the back of the room, there is a large brown pot.
You must interact with Mr. Potson 100 times. The dialogue will change as you approach 100 interactions:
- 1–10: “Is something in there?”
- 11–20: “There’s some sort of liquid sloshing around inside the pot”
- 21–30: “Something’s sort of odd about the liquid in this pot…”
- 31–40: “Mm…?”
- 41–50: “…”
- 51–60: “Fool… Who dares disturb my slumber”
- 61–70: “Begone… Leave me be… or ELSE…”
- 71–80: “… Seriously, knock it off.”
- 81–90: “Come on. Really? Why are you LIKE this?”
- 100: Receive the record
6. 64 Memories

Charlie and Cole have a territory minigame that they will play with you when you visit their house.
The objective is to claim as much area as possible on the game board, just like your opponent.
It is easy to win by placing large lines because the two brothers will only start blocking you once they realize that you are going to control most of the board.
Winning this game 10 times will make them give you the record.
You do not have to defeat both Charlie and Cole. I obtained the record by defeating only Charlie, who is easier to beat, while still in Chapter 1.
7. Cafe Jazz

This record comes from Gavin. Increase your friendship with him to 90 FP, then talk to him while he is in the back bedroom.
To increase your friendship points, simply give him gifts he likes. Gavin likes fish, Mistmoon Flower, Trick Blue Flower, and Coins (all types).
8. My Racing Heart

You must be in Chapter 6 or later to obtain this record.
Increase your friendship with your child to 90 points or more, then talk to them while they are in their bedroom at your house.
9. Summer of the Pioneer

To obtain this record, you must befriend Carter and have at least 90 FP with him.
To befriend him, simply give him gifts he likes. Carter particularly likes Cheese (B, A, or S-Rank), Watermelon, Melon, Waterblue, Meloblue, and Wool.
Once your friendship level has reached 90 FP or more, talk to him while he is at the beach on the 3rd or 8th.
10. Joyful Autumn

Increase your friendship with Mukumuku to 90 FP or more, then talk to him to obtain this record.
Mukumuku likes fish, eggs, milk, crops, flowers, and cheese. The difficult part is that Mukumuku only appears during Winter in the Forest Spring area.
11. Autumn in Oak Tree Town

In Chapter 2 or later, befriend Kate until you reach at least 90 FP. Give her fish, melons, strawberries, flowers, and coins to increase your friendship points.
Once your friendship level has reached 90 FP or more, talk to her while she is upstairs in her house to obtain this record.
The most difficult part is making sure Kate is upstairs because she often spends her time outside.
12. One Sunny Day

Increase your friendship with Chris to 90 points or more, then talk to her anywhere to obtain the One Sunny Day record.
She likes flowers, ores from the excavation site, and apples. Pretty easy, right?
13. Wonderful!!

The Wonderful!! record can be received from Takakura after you reach Chapter 2 or later and have 90 friendship points or more with everyone except Vinnie.
Your friendship level with Vinnie does not affect the requirements for obtaining this record. Once you meet the requirements, talk to Takakura.
14. Winter Mineral Town

The Winter Mineral Town record is given to you by Hugh when your friendship with him reaches 90 FP or more and you are in Chapter 4 or later.
To befriend Hugh, simply give him things he likes. His preferred gifts change in each Chapter.
For details, see below:
- Chapter 1: Milk, Coin, Milky Soup, and Wool
- Chapter 2: Banana (B Rank or higher), Wool, and Silver Coin
- Chapter 3: Gold Wool, Coin, Gold Coin, and Herbal Soup
- Chapter 4: Banana (S Rank), Gold Wool, Coin, and Gold Coin
The easiest way to maximize your friendship with Hugh in Chapter 1 is to give him several bottles of milk and coins from the excavation site every day.
Once you have a sufficient friendship level and are in Chapter 4 or later, talk to Hugh while he is upstairs in his room to obtain the record.
The difficult part is making sure Hugh is upstairs in his house.
I found that the best way to meet Hugh in later Chapters is to set the Alarm Clock to 5 AM or earlier, then go to their house in the morning after waking up.
When their front door opens at 6 AM, enter and go straight upstairs before he comes down the stairs.
Relying on the game’s normal 6 AM wake-up time will cause Hugh to already be downstairs by the time you reach their house.
