- Own at least one adult chicken
Table of Contents
On the morning of Summer 6, Rick will visit your house and ask whether you would like to enter a chicken in the Cluck-Cluck Clash, which takes place the following day. If you agree, choose the chicken with the highest number of hearts to maximize your chances of winning.
Although a chicken with 5 hearts is usually strong enough to win the tournament, chickens with higher affection levels generally perform better during matches.
Visit Rose Plaza between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM to participate in the festival. Before the tournament begins, speaking with the villagers in attendance grants +5 FP with each character.
When you are ready, speak with Rick to begin the tournament.
Chicken Sumo
The Cluck-Cluck Clash uses a three-round tournament format. The objective of the mini-game is to intimidate your opponent’s chicken and force it out of the arena.
To make your chicken intimidate its opponent, press Right Click (PC) to have it jump and flap its wings. If the move successfully startles the opposing chicken, an exclamation mark (!) will appear above its head, and it will retreat for a short distance.
Continue repeating this process until the opposing chicken is pushed out of the ring. At the same time, your opponent will attempt to intimidate your chicken as well.
The difficulty increases with each round:
- Round 1: Easy
- Round 2: Medium
- Round 3: Hard
If you successfully win all three rounds and become the tournament champion, you will receive an additional +20 FP with all villagers attending the festival.
Festival Rewards
Your first victory in the Cluck-Cluck Clash awards the Chicken Sumo Trophy, which can be displayed in your house.
In addition, a champion chicken has a chance to lay special eggs if it has 8 hearts or more.
| Egg Type | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Golden Egg | Chicken has spent fewer than 1,000 hours outdoors |
| Platinum Egg | Chicken has spent more than 1,000 hours outdoors |
| X Egg | Approximately a 1/255 chance and does not produce a Platinum Egg |
Although white and brown chickens have different appearances, they are considered the same species and perform identically.
Selling the Trophy
The Chicken Sumo Trophy can be sold to Huang for approximately 48,000 G to 57,000 G.
If you win the festival again in a future year, you will receive another trophy, so there is no need to worry about losing your only copy.
