Huang is one of the Special Candidates in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town (SoS: FoMT). He moves to Mineral Town on 3 Spring of Year 1.
Huang will greet you when you leave your house in the morning. He tells you that he will set up a small Huang’s Store inside Zack’s house on the beach.
Huang likes looking for ways to make a little extra money, even going as far as selling what he calls magical apples.
After increasing your friendship with Huang to 4 friendship notes (100 FP) or more, having at least 500 G, and having an empty backpack slot, Huang will visit your house on the 4th day of every season.
He will offer to sell you a SUGDB Apple, HMSGB Apple, or AEPFE Apple for 500 G. You can only buy one apple per visit.
Huang will visit every season on the 4th day as long as you have the required friendship level, money, and backpack space.
Huang will also offer to sell you a Flower Vase on the 11th of that season if you have 5,000 G or more.
If you refuse the vase five times, Huang will stop offering it to you. You must buy this Flower Vase if you want to marry Huang.
Your heart level with Huang is hidden. Since Huang does not accept the Preserved Flower, you will never unlock a heart indicator on his portrait or under the villager relationship menu in the game’s main menu.
Not knowing your current relationship status with Huang is part of the challenge of marrying him. The heart indicator on his portrait will not appear even after you marry him.

Heart Events
Huang does not have romantic events like the normal marriage candidates. His main challenge is his hidden Love Point level.
Huang does not have a visible heart indicator like the other marriage candidates. However, you can sort the Villager List by Love Level to see his position compared to other characters with visible Love Levels.
Like other candidates, Huang needs 60,000 LP to marry, and you must also have a Big Bed. His other unique requirements are fairly simple: own a Flower Vase and see the three events involving his shopkeeper role (see below).
You do not need to give Huang a Preserved Flower. You can give him the Blue Feather once he has the required 60,000 LP, the Big Bed and Flower Vase are in your house, and you have seen all three of his shopkeeper events.

Enter Zack’s House, and you will see that Huang has dropped all of his apples. Unfortunately, he cannot tell one apple from another.
He thinks for a moment and realizes that no one else can tell them apart either. Huang starts picking up all the apples when he suddenly realizes that you are standing there and have heard him talking to himself.
Huang asks if you heard what he said. He feels like he is an unsuccessful merchant, especially since he cannot even tell his apples apart.
He picks up one of the apples from the ground and gives it to you, hoping that you will keep this little incident a secret. Afterward, he tells you to leave the shop so he can clean everything up.
You will receive one of the following:

When you enter Zack’s place, Huang will tell you that he now not only buys items but also sells them.
To sell an item to Huang, hold the item in your hand and talk to him while standing in front of him.
He will offer you a price that you can either accept to sell the item or reject.
The price Huang offers is randomly selected from several predetermined price points. For example, Huang’s offer for Van’s Favorite ranges from 48,000 G to 57,000 G.
If he offers 49,000 G, you can reject his offer and try again to see if he offers a higher price.
You can sell your products directly to Huang instead of using the shipping bin. You can earn slightly more money through Huang, but the downside is that you have to sell each item individually.
You can continue rejecting offers that you think are too low until you successfully sell all of your products.
Huang will pay slightly more (+5%) depending on the product being sold and the current day of the week:

- Cheese on Thursday
- Mayonnaise on Friday
- Yarn on Saturday
For crops, wild-foraged items, and flowers, Huang’s higher offer price is based on the season in which the crop grows compared to the current season:
- Spring crops and Spring flowers sell for more in Winter (+20%) and Autumn (+10%).
- Summer crops and Summer flowers sell for more in Spring (+20%) and Winter (+10%).
- Autumn crops and Autumn flowers sell for more in Spring (+12.5%), as well as Summer (+10%) or Winter (+10%).
- Orange Grass and White Grass, which are winter crops, sell for more in Autumn (+20%) and Summer (+10%).
Huang also buys items that cannot be shipped through the shipping bin, such as cooked dishes, Gold Lumber, Nature Sprite’s Tea Party Invitation, Ketchup-recipe Tomatosetta Stone, and Fries-recipe Letter in a Bottle.
Huang will not buy Purple Heart event items or Cliff’s Photo.

After selling festival trophies to Huang, you can receive another trophy after winning the corresponding animal festival again.
You will not receive another animal festival trophy if you still have a trophy from a previous festival victory in your backpack or inventory.

Enter the house and watch as Huang puts his apples on the ground again. This time, he wants to challenge you to a game.
Huang will describe each of the three special apples, then shuffle them before asking you to choose the apple he mentioned.
The more rounds you complete, the faster Huang will shuffle the apples. After you complete all 10 levels or fail to choose the correct apple, Huang will kick you out of the house.
Afterward, you can play Huang’s apple-shuffling game every day at his shop. He will charge you 100 G for each game.
In each round, Huang will shuffle the positions of the three magical apples, then ask you to choose the position of the apple he mentioned.
You will receive a Mystery Ticket if you correctly choose the apple nine times or fewer, and a Mystery Flower if you correctly choose all 10 apples.
A simple way to get the correct answer every time is to record Huang’s apple movements using your phone.
You can then watch the recording in your spare time to review the apples’ positions.
Mystery Ticket Exchange
Mystery Tickets can be exchanged for lottery prizes at Huang’s shop. Hold the ticket in your hand and talk to Huang to start the lottery.
A set of three cards will appear, each numbered from 0 to 9. The numbers on each card will then start spinning rapidly.
Your task is to press the A Button at the right time to try to match at least two numbers or get three matching numbers to win a prize.
If you match two numbers, you will receive a random bag of seeds that Huang keeps in his shop inventory, with the number of seed bags based on the number you matched. For example, if you match two 4s, you will receive 4 bags of seeds.
- First two numbers match (e.g., 7-7-1): Receive crop seeds.
- Last two numbers match (e.g., 3-8-8): Receive flower seeds.
- Two matching numbers with one different number in between (e.g., 6-0-6): Receive flower or crop seeds.
- Three matching numbers (e.g., 5-5-5): Receive Record #19 or Record #20.
- Three consecutive numbers, ascending or descending (e.g., 0-1-2 or 7-6-5): Receive Record #16, Record #17, or Record #18.
You will gain +10 LP with Huang for handing over a Mystery Ticket and +1,000 LP when you receive a jackpot prize. If you have already received a Record as a jackpot prize for the Record Player, you will only gain +10 LP.
To win Record #16, #17, and #18 on the same day, the three matching numbers must be in different sequences.
For example, if you win Record #17 with 6-7-8, you must get a different three-number sequence, such as 2-3-4, to win another Record on the same day.
Getting 6-7-8 a second time on the same day will not give you another Record prize.
Records #19 and #20 are easier to win if you try on different days.
If your backpack is full and Huang cannot give you a seed prize, you will lose those seeds. He will not send them to the tool storage box.
Mystery Flowers
The reward you receive after completing all 10 rounds of Huang’s apple-shuffling game is a Mystery Flower.
You can sell this flower back to Huang for a price between 78,000 G and 86,000 G.
You can also offer this flower to the Harvest Goddess. After giving her 10 Mystery Flowers, she will reward you with a Goddess’ Present.
This special flower can be sold to Huang for 1 million G. He does not offer a higher or lower price for it.
You can give more than one Mystery Flower to the Harvest Goddess each day. She will tell you how many more gifts are needed before she gives you a special reward in return.
You can also collect and sell more than one Goddess’ Present.
