Carter is an archaeologist who came to Forgotten Valley to study the ancient civilization that once lived there.
Carter lives in a tent near the mining site with his assistant, Flora. Carter generously allows you to keep any items you find while mining, except for the stone tablet that can be found each year.
Although he is known for being friendly, Carter is quite reserved and intellectual, and he enjoys sunshine. He always appreciates it when you talk to him during Spring and Summer, while he misses it dearly during Autumn and Winter.
He also enjoys good food, as Flora prepares meals for both of them, and his respected assistant is not the most talented cook.
On his days off, Carter can be seen gazing at the ocean horizon, enjoying the sights and sounds of the beach.
Befriending Carter can influence your child to become interested in Academics.
If your child is most interested in Academics at the end of Chapter 3, Carter expresses his interest by offering to employ your child as his assistant in the future.
Carter will give you the record “Summer of the Pioneer” after your friendship with him is nearly at its maximum by talking to him at the beach on one of his days off.
