When you go upstairs in Sully and Chris’s House, you find Hugh talking to himself. As soon as he notices you, he jumps in surprise and asks how long you have been standing there.
- Response 1A: “I just got here.“
Hugh looks relieved. He asks you to ignore anything you might have heard because he was only talking to himself.
- Response 1B: “For a little while.“
Hugh blushes with embarrassment. He asks if you happened to hear him talking to himself.
- Response 2A: “Didn’t hear a thing.“

- Response 2B: “D-D-Didn’t hear a thing! Nope!“
Hugh frowns and does not believe you. He asks again if you really did not hear anything.
- Response 3A: “Really.“

- Response 3B: “C-C’mon, why would I lie?!“
Hugh scolds you for acting strangely. He asks again if you really did not hear anything.
- Response 4A: “Really-really.“

- Response 4B: “Weeell, I might’ve heard something about Kate…“
Hugh finally gives up. He admits that he was talking about Kate, but insists that he does not like her.
- Response 5A (Negative): “Yeah?“
Hugh says it should already be obvious that he does not like Kate. He explains that Kate is always bothering him, but one day he is going to get back at her.
After that, Hugh changes his tone and politely asks you not to tell Kate about what he just said. He then walks downstairs.
- Response 5B (Positive): “Really-really?“
Hugh admits that he would be lying if he said he did not care about Kate at all. Even so, he continues to insist that he does not like her before quickly hurrying downstairs.
