Church (SoSFoMT)

The Church is located in the northeastern corner of town. Carter opens the Church from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

He always tries to help the villagers as much as he can, even if it is something as simple as listening to someone’s troubles.

Carter does not sell anything, but he provides a free Confessional service located in the corner of the Church. The door to the Confessional will be locked when Carter is not inside.

The Confessional is open from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and rainy days. On sunny days, Carter is usually outside the Church with Mei and Yu.

However, when it rains, he goes into the Confessional to “contemplate,” which is actually a good way to describe taking a pleasant nap.

You will have three options when entering the Confessional.

Removing Cursed Tools

Cursed Tools can be found on certain floors of the Lake Mine. Once equipped as an active tool, its curse will take effect and prevent you from switching to other tools in your backpack.

The only way to remove a Cursed Tool is to ask Carter for help while he is in the Confessional, either to remove it from the active tool slot or to permanently lift its curse.

Carter charges 1,000 G to remove a Cursed Tool that is currently equipped.

The curse on a Cursed Tool can be permanently removed, turning it into a Blessed Tool. The required method differs depending on the tool:

• Cursed Hoe & Cursed Watering Can: Have the tool blessed 5 times to remove its curse.
• Cursed Sickle & Cursed Hammer: Use the tool as an active tool for 5 consecutive days to remove its curse.
• Cursed Axe & Cursed Fishing Pole: Use the tool 50 times to remove its curse.

If you do not have a Cursed Tool when talking to Carter about curses, he will simply explain the dangers of using Cursed Tools.

You can use Carter’s blessing service multiple times a day, but you must still pay the 1,000 G fee for each service.

Confessions

Entrance to the Confessional in the Story of Seasons: FoMT Church

When using the Confessional service, Carter will offer three sets of confessions to choose from. You can only make one confession per day.

Set 1

• I don’t care for my animals
• I worked myself to collapse
• The townsfolks don’t like me

Set 2

• I picked on an animal
• I overslept
• I littered on the road

Set 3

• I hardly sleep
• I overwork the Nature Sprites
• I want to marry the Harvest Goddess
• I want to marry Kappa

Regardless of your choice, Carter will respond to the confession. In some cases, he will forgive you and provide a small bonus based on the type of offense you confessed.

For example, if you are forgiven after choosing “I worked myself to collapse,” you will recover +10 Stamina.

Some other confessions can also provide additional bonuses:

• I littered on the road and The townsfolks don’t like me can slightly increase your Friendship Point with the villagers.
• I don’t care for my animals can increase your friendship level with all livestock if Carter grants you forgiveness.

The final two options in Set 3, “I want to marry the Harvest Goddess” and “I want to marry Kappa,” are part of the requirements for marrying these special candidates.
