Mei is one of the characters who can be encountered in Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town (SoS: FoMT).
She lives with her grandfather, Mugi, at Yodel Ranch after being left by her mother, Joanna.
As a cheerful and curious child, Mei loves her grandfather dearly and enjoys spending time with him.
However, because Mugi has to take care of the farm and his livestock every day, he cannot always accompany Mei when she wants to play.
To keep herself occupied, Mei often plays with Yu and occasionally visits the Church to talk with Carter. Although she is still young, Mei is known for being friendly and getting along easily with the residents of Mineral Town.
Mugi does his best to raise her and provide her with a comfortable life despite the absence of both of her parents. They are very close, and Mugi always tries to make sure that Mei grows up happily.
Even so, Mei still misses her mother. She is happy whenever she gets the chance to talk to Joanna over the phone and hopes that her mother will return to Mineral Town someday.
Mugi has even tried several times to persuade Joanna to come home, but she has yet to return.
